Description
Maybe its the Central Park South location, or the diners enumerating the merits of Jack Paars Tonight show. Even though its only 16 years old, San Domenico seems like a place your grandparents would love. Thats not such a bad thing: The service is unfailingly gracious and efficient, and chef Odetta Fadas appetizers and pastas are wonderfully delicate. Melt-in-your-mouth beef carpaccio is joined by slim slices of foie gras; creamy sea urchin ravioli are dotted with tiny cubes of scallop. Entrées were less sure-footed; both a saddle of rabbit and grilled shrimp were drier than they should have been.
