Midtown East
The name is pronounced “omusubi,” and it refers to the Japanese stuffed rice ball that serves the same purpose as a sandwich: It’s a starchy, satisfying, portable meal. The 14-seat restaurant’s nori-wrapped, palm-size triangles of rice are packed with tasty fillings (pickles, bonito flakes, pastrami).
