In a not-so-daring move, the owners of a restaurant at Pier 17 in the South Street Seaport have decided to go with a seafood theme. Everything at Pacific Grill is aquamarine-colored—tables, banquettes, booths, ceiling fans and beach-style umbrellas (for the 75 outdoor seats)—and the walls are adorned with wood carvings of lobsters, sea monkeys and crabs. The food shows Pan-Asian influences, especially in appetizers like honey-glazed tempura shrimp, Thai curried mussel stew and sweet Maine baby shrimp with seaweed salad and star fruit. You can take in a gorgeous view of the river while you eat, provided all the camera-toting tourists don’t get in the way.

Horrible in so many ways!!!! Menu is generic and frozen products u can pick up at your local bodega. Absolutely NO pan-asian Service is ridiculous! Not only did the hostess forget to seat us, she took a couple who just got there and then thought we were crazy for asking why our reservation wasn't held. Our waiter forgot to put in out entree and when it came out finally he disappeared never to be seen again. Take the walk and get out of the sea port to eat
