A spacious dining room and solicitous service make Puttanesca a good place for a large group or for a romantic tête-à-tête. Carpaccio di melanzana, marinated eggplant with roasted peppers, is deliciously salty, and portobello con caprino, meaty chunks of mushroom with creamy goat cheese, arugula and chopped tomato, tastes fresh from the garden. Costoletta di vitello, a grilled veal chop, was flavorful if a bit underdone. House-made pastas include addictive tortellini della nonna, a plentiful plate of meat-filled pasta with prosciutto, mushroom and peas in a Parmesan sauce.
