Strangeways Coffee

Bushwick
A former Oslo Coffee roaster brings single-origin brews to Bushwick. When the Williamsburg outpost he managed shuttered temporarily, Eddie Cedeno opened a ten-seat coffeehouse in his own neighborhood. Behind a reclaimed-wood counter, baristas operate several nerdworthy brewers—Hario V60, Aeropress and Chemex—and pull shots from a La Marzocco Linea. Photos of Morrissey sit next to religious artifacts, including a painting of the Virgin Mary that hangs on a chalkboard menu with the words “No Decaf.”
