Is there any greater signifier that the weekend has arrived in NYC than a boozy brunch? No matter your preferences—whether for a no-frills pub experience or a drag extravaganza—or budget (here are our favorite cheap brunches in the city), there’s something for every palate, including agave spirits with Mexican favorites, sangrias and Southeast Asian dishes, and classic mimosas with American standards.

  • Prospect Lefferts Gardens

With entree selections like a crab cake Benedict and fried chicken and shrimp waffle, seafood lovers who love sweet sips are in luck. For $60, Sweet Catch offers guests their choice of entree and 90 minutes of unlimited mimosas and “bellies,” both of which are available in the usual orange and peach flavors in addition to strawberry, mango and passionfruit.

Find American classics done exceptionally well at this Astoria outpost, serving “exceptionally well-prepared American comfort food,” where for a $10 surcharge, you can indulge in the “boozy brunch,” your choice of two traditional day-drinking cocktails, including bloody Marys and bellinis. Can’t decide (or just want a little more octane in the tank)? Pony up an additional $10 for two or more drinks.

If you love bottomless brunch but also need to check yourself (Monday is just around the corner, after all), Fonda is your spot: its boozy brunch ($39.50 at the Park Slope and Chelsea outposts) includes “just” three cocktails. Enjoy your tipples with Fonda’s delightfully indulgent takes on Mexican specialties, like the Belgian-style waffles served with guava and cajeta sauces, and the torta de carnitas, a pulled-pork sandwich stacked with a black bean spread, picked jalapeños and avocado.

  • East Village

While the drink offering here isn’t quite bottomless, Jackdaw’s 2-for-1 “bottomed out” brunch–with no time limit and most cocktails priced at $13–is truly one of the best drink deals in the city. Pair the namesake pancakes, which are topped with fruit preserves and a heaping scoop of vanilla cream-infused butter, with the high octane cold brew martini, or the flavor-filled breakfast burrito with the margarita picante, the restaurant’s take on a spicy marg.
