Hairstylist Enrique Albano, who has 12 years of experience at salons throughout the city and another 18 in his native Venezuela, has opened his first NYC salon. The venture is truly a family affair, with both of his daughters involved: Valentina helps oversee the business side of things, while Jimena Albano Loaiza works as the house aesthetician. One half of the homey, ten-seat space is reserved for men’s barbershop services, such as haircuts ($20) and shaves ($12). Ladies can stop by for a cut ($25–$45), color ($50–$70), highlights ($60–$135) and argan-oil hair treatments ($20–$30). There are also two private back rooms for waxing ($12–$60). Complete your day of pampering with facials ($40–$85) and eyebrow shapings ($12), and don’t leave without grabbing products used in the salon, such as Davines nourishing hair masks ($29), FarmHouse Fresh shea butter cream ($30) and Argan Queen oil ($8–$35).
