Melissa's favorite spots for a summer date: "The High Line (835 Washington St at Little W 12th St; 212-500-6035, thehighline.org) is great if you're into plants and bench design, which I totally am. I also love the Brooklyn Flea (176 Lafayette Ave between Clermont and Vanderbilt Aves, Fort Greene, Brooklyn; Sat 10am--5pm; through Nov 19 * East River Waterfront between North 6th and 7th Sts, Williamsburg, Brooklyn; Sun 10am--5pm; through Nov 20 * brooklynflea.com) since it has everything---snacks, entertainment and people-watching---which makes for plenty of things to chat about. After, a drink in Fort Greene at Habana Outpost (757 Fulton St at South Portland Ave, Fort Greene, Brooklyn; 718-858-9500, habanaoutpost.com) or No. 7 (7 Greene Ave between Cumberland and Fulton Sts, Fort Greene, Brooklyn; 718-522-6370) is usually called for."
