As a follow-up to his appointment-only NYC showroom, Jamal Motlagh expands his high-tech bespoke-menswear enterprise with a walk-in boutique. Choose your fabric—everything from Italian wool to North Carolina–made denim—and color from an array of sample products and swatches, then get digitally measured in the shop’s 3-D body scanner for custom-fit suits ($750–$1,495), dress shirts ($195–$225), pants ($119–$279) and outerwear ($685–$739). Items take from two to six weeks to complete, and can be either picked up in the store or shipped anywhere in New York State for a flat rate of $15 (elsewhere in the country costs $25). You can also snag predesigned ties ($79) to complement your made-to-measure cotton blazer ($450) or winter overcoat ($685–$735). Have one piece crafted at the store and you’ll be automatically enrolled in its Cut Club, which gives you a 5 to 20 percent discount on your next garment in any category.
