CHERYL's style: "Freshmagick. Dollar-Store Couture. Insanity Within Reach. Steamy Apricot Jazzcastle. Orange Crystal Sauce."

Favorite local stores: "Halloween Adventure Shop near Union Square: Our go-to spot for fake blood. CHERYL is such a regular that we have a discount. American Wholesale Liquidators (RIP): It used to exist on Broadway and Houston; you could buy ketchup and dashikis in bulk. DII in Park Slope: We love it for cheap children's clothes and flesh-colored leggings. 99-Cent Rush in Windsor Terrace: It is where we first discovered the Silky & Jumbo, our favorite brand of fake hair. And it is full of hidden gems, like asthma-inducing fake snow, party witches, cheap bags of Mylar confetti and Jason-brand aloe that gives us a face rash. The Pathmark by the BQE: A great resource for ground beef (to make wigs out of), party-cake ice cream (we are compulsive over-eaters), panty hose (fake intestines!), Twizzlers (to make more wigs) and pizza sauce (to dump on your face). Most of our style can be attributed to the whole row of 99-cent stores along a stretch of 5th Avenue in the South Slope of Brooklyn."

Favorite local designers: "CHERYL: Because we live it. Show-stopping couture kaftans by Richard Saja for Hysterically Inaccurate Decorative Arts (historically-inaccurate.blogspot.com). TIRANA Jewelry (tiranajewelry.com) by Graciela Fuentes: She makes silver rings that look like brass knuckles. Old Maxx, Forever Seal, Strawberry 21, Wet Leslie and Phat Mandee."

The greatest dresser of all time: "Judith Light, because in the late '80s she looked like a human Bed Bath & Beyond, streaked with bleach and crossed with an opossum."
