Diggs said they decided to open the store in 2009 because “we both go through products like water.” While the shop carries well-known brands like Garnier Fructis and Tresemmé at normal drugstore prices, it specializes in hair care for women of color, such as coil-forming Miss Jessie’s Original Curly Pudding ($22) and Jane Carter Moisture Nourishing Shampoo ($8), designed specifically for hair fried from years of treatments. You can also stock up on basic beauty accessories like hair claws ($1–$4), scrunchies ($2) and tweezers ($2).
