How would you describe the style in your area?
In [East Williamsburg], it’s very grungy. There are a lot of younger people here, so it’s definitely more laid-back. I love the style here compared to Manhattan. Everyone looks fantastic, but they’re not trying too hard. It’s more eclectic. The straight-up Manhattan fashion girl is almost a little too put-together.

What about your style? How do you describe it?
A little bohemian. Today, I’m wearing something a little out of my comfort zone, which is kind of exciting. I was drawn to the color of this jacket.

What’s a spring trend you’re dreading?
I’m over the mom-jeans trend. It always comes back in the spring, those high-waisted cutoffs that girls wear with everything. It’s been overdone. I’d like to see different ways for people to wear shorts.

What are your favorite Brooklyn stores?
I really love Fox & Fawn (570 Manhattan Ave between Driggs and Nassau Aves, Greenpoint; 718-349-9510). It’s a small vintage shop, but really well curated. Beacon’s Closet (74 Guernsey St between Nassau and Norman Aves, Greenpoint; beaconscloset.com) is one of my faves because I really love to thrift. When I shop for myself, it’s either thrift, vintage or consignment.
