Owner Megan Leary fell for fashion when she was a showroom assistant for a local indie-designer studio. In 2007, she took a leap of faith and opened her first women’s clothing shop on Long Island. Now she debuts her fourth store—the first in the city—named after her grandmothers, Gloria and Jewel. The shop’s focus is to provide ladies with comfortable, feminine clothing ($55–$350) and accessories ($44–$2,000) from a variety of popular and lesser-known designers. The industrial-chic space was designed by Leary’s artist husband, Michael Chiarello (mikechiarello.com), and features threads such as Torn peplum tees ($233), Dolce Vita floral dresses ($150) and Acrobat slouchy sweaters ($145). Add delicate house-brand jewelry, such as charm necklaces ($48–$64) and stone drop earrings ($44–$50).
