Ilirjana Alushaj, singer of Apache Beat (myspace.com/apachebeat) and editor of The Pop Manifesto (thepopmanifesto.com); Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Her style: "I like things to be pretty but also comfortable and cool. I don't like feeling awkward in clothes."

Her inspirations: "Everything."

Favorite local stores: "I would basically wear anything from Opening Ceremony. Oak has innovative fashion in black, white and gray. Marc by Marc Jacobs is the best for accessories. Any makeup I need, Sephora is the place to go. And I like Academy Records for buying music."

Favorite local designers: "I like a lot of New York labels, from Samantha Pleet (samanthapleet.com) to Alexander Wang (alexanderwang.com). But my favorite at the moment is Gerlan Jeans (gerlanjeans.com). Her graphics and designs are complete madness."

Go-to bargain spot: "Atlantis Attic in Williamsburg."

Most-hated trend: "I cringe at Ugg boots, despite growing up in Australia. Sorry, Australia."

The greatest dresser of all time: "There are a million amazing dressers—I can't name one person. I'm always inspired by people who are confident enough to do their own thing."
