Ladies looking for a more feminine alternative to American Apparel now have a new go-to spot for stocking up on wardrobe staples. This affordable addition to the Meatpacking District began in 1998 with a basic tee and has since earned a cult following for its line of flattering, effortless pieces with subtle detailing. A clean white space with chandeliers and light oak cabinets offsets the brightly colored collection of high-quality cotton and modal tees, tanks and dresses, including cross-front tank dresses ($124), striped V-neck tanks ($68) and drape-front cardigans ($148). Although the store carries just clothing for now, owner and designer Pauline Nakios plans to accent her collection with a seasonally rotating cast of accessories in the near future.
