Her style: I dress harsh, but I like to keep it pretty."
Her inspiration: "I've always drawn inspiration from my favorite musicians, from Siouxsie Sioux to Patti Smith; and it's recently been watercolors."
Favorite stores: "What Goes Around Comes Around (351 West Broadway between Broome and Grand Sts; 212-343-1225, whatgoesaroundnyc.com) for the best selection of rock tees, Vivienne Westwood and Alaa goodies, and vintage furs. Kirna Zabte (96 Greene St between Prince and Spring Sts; 212-941-9656, kirnazabete.com) for an amazing edit of my favorite designers, from Balenciaga to Givenchy and Rick Owens. Agent Provocateur (locations throughout the city; visit agentprovocateur.com) stocks my all-time favorite lingerie."
Her signature garment: "My Rick Owens leather jacket."
Favorite designers: "My friends have a line called Peppercotton (peppercotton.com), which features Swarovski crystals lined inside mesh tubes to form necklaces, chokers and bracelets. They come in a variety of colors, lengths and designs. My pal Pamela Love (pamelalovenyc.com) is also another favorite; I'm obsessed with her heavy silver pieces and her use of natural forms, including claws and rope."
Her style icon: "I love Edie Sedgwick for her silver hair, heavy eye makeup and minidresses. I also like Patti Smith and her menswear-inspired aesthetic."
How her style has evolved: "I think it's always sort of an evolving uniform. I collect T-shirts; I still have my Nine Inch Nails concert tee from 1994. I love blazers, leather pants, messy hair and boots."
Favorite stylist: "Lori Goldstein and Panos Yiapanis."
How her job affects her style: "I dress for the darkness! I am inspired by the night."
