he stylist, whose famous clients include Jonte and Tokyo Diiva, sometimes incorporates his eclectic style into his work. "It freaks me out a little sometimes when my clients ask me to reference a look that I have worn," he says. "I also have clients who express that they want to look nothing like me. That's fine too!"

"The trick to wearing multiple statement-making rings is to only adorn one hand with rings and leave the other hand bare," says Figueroa. "Also, as long as the rings bear relation to each other in some way, you can get away with this look." All of the baubles were made by Alberto Juan.

"These sunglasses were a gift from my friend Kerin Rose (a-morir.com) She does all of this ridiculous couture handmade eyewear," says Figueroa. "I know wearing eyewear indoors (at the club or an event) has always been a fashion don't for most, but if you are wearing a statement-making pair, then you can pull it off. I love wearing them to make an entrance or avoid photo tragedies when caught off guard."

"Nikes are the best sneakers for a New Yorker on the go," Figueroa says of his funky footwear. "I swear they have wings attached."

"I was inspired by the idea of being luxurious, militant, sexy and obnoxiously accessorized at the time," Figueroa reflects of his ensemble. He wears a vintage hat, a Judith Leiber brooch and a Versace necklace scored from an Etsy seller (sneller8190.etsy.com) with a Gilda Rvasseur (revasseur.com) half jacket, Agent Provocateur top, LaCrasia (lacrasia.com) gloves, Alberto Juan (albertojuan.etsy.com) rings and Dr. Martens boots.

Figueroa caps off his look with L'Occitane beauty products. "I was never super into beauty products, but every time I use L'Occitane, it makes me feel fresh-faced and moisturized," he says. "It costs a pretty penny to shop there, but it's well worth it. Darvell Freeman (darvell.biz) is my go-to makeup artist," he adds. "Whether I am making an appearance or being shot for an editorial, he makes me look flawless and animated."

"I get all of my gloves from  LaCrasia (lacrasia.com)," Figueroa says. "I love them opera-length, fingerless, embellished---you name it! I think the right pair of gloves can make or break your look."

Figueroa ordered his Dr. Martens online, which he wears to channel a '90s aesthetic. "I love patent leather! It always adds a fetishistic yet sleek factor to any look. Only in doses, though! Too much can come across too vampy."

"My inspiration behind this look was mixing both punk and hip-hop styles in a fun, rebellious, devil-may-care kind of way," says Figueroa. He wears a Natasha NYC (natashanyc.com) bodysuit and leggings with Levi's shorts.

"This bracelet is by Glen Yank, bought on Etsy (sneller8190.etsy.com)," says Figueroa. He pairs his arm bling with his signature Alberto Juan rings (albertojuan.etsy.com). "Glen Yank does super-modern, chic jewelry. One time I was wearing this bracelet, and I accidently cut someone while giving them a handshake! That night, the bracelet took on a mind of its own."

Omar Alexander Figueroa, 25, fashion stylist and designer (byomaralexander.com), Chelsea

His personal style: "I would describe it as mutant-like, high-street glamour with a punk-goth edge."

His inspirations: "I'm inspired by the divine metropolis New York City, Elsa Schiaparelli, ancient costumes, couture, postpunk and the '80s."

Favorite stores: "When I want to feel fashionable, luxurious and sexy at the same time, I go to Versace (647 Fifth Ave between 51st and 52nd Sts; 212-317-0224, versace.com). Patricia Field (302 Bowery between Bleecker and E Houston Sts; 212-966-4066, patriciafield.com) is one of my favorite stores in NYC. It has a great selection of clothing for queers, transsexuals and everyone in between. Reminiscence (50 W 23rd St between Fifth and Sixth Aves; 212-243-2292, reminiscence.com), because I once got vintage Versace eyewear and a black leather Members Only jacket there for about $150. Saks Fifth Avenue (611 Fifth Ave between 49th and 50th Sts; 212-753-4000, saksfifthavenue.com) is the end-all be-all for NYC living. Mom-and-pop shop K Charles (786 Ninth Ave between 52nd and 53rd Sts; 212-397-1291) has the best selection of vintage jewelry in NYC——beautiful brooches, necklaces and vintage designer pieces."

His signature item: "Leggings! I'm known for always wearing a great pair."

Favorite designers: "Bill Bolland Haute Couture (billbollandcouture.com) is one. Bruce Snell is a Brooklyn designer who makes one-of-a kind jewelry, under the label Alberto Juan Creations (albertojuan.etsy.com), and he also has the most amazing archive of vintage designer jewelry that I've ever seen. Natasha NYC (natashanyc.com); she dressed David Bowie and Debbie Harry in the '70s. I get all of my fetishistic, punk and mutant garb from her. Statement-making eyewear by Kerin Rose (a-morir.com) is a must on the runway or on the street. I'm in love with Marco Hall's (marcohall.net) ethnic yet futuristic approach to design."

How his style has evolved: "It went from being high-street and vintage to more luxurious. I'm okay with that."

His New York style icon: "Jennifer Lopez is the epitome of New York style when it comes to both urban and high fashion."
