"This is my fun club look," says Rich, referring to his bright Vivienne Westwood argyle sweater layered over a Dots button-down. He wears it with vintage pants from Heatherette, the brand he cofounded in 1999 with Traver Rains.

Rich shows off a chunky David Yurman ring, as well as an interesting polish job: He wears Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday glitter nail polish---"my all-time favorite"---on every digit except his ring finger. "My showroom, the King Collective, invented [the style] for luck," he explains.

A Marc by Marc Jacobs owl pendant and antique rosary beads from Rich's attorney's wife add texture to a plaid tie from a vintage shop in London.

"It's a fun, fat, fake diamond ring from Dots," says Rich, referring to his makeshift earring.

This on-trend fedora is the product of "a swap game my friend and I play," says Rich.

Rich shows off his Good Samaritan side with these Feed for Haiti bracelets. "I got them in Las Vegas with my boyfriend," he says. "We both wear them!"

"These boots are my favorite Chanel item," enthuses Rich. "They look like leg warmers with heels."

In an act of spontaneity, Rich grabbed this tinsel heart, which he found lying around near the set during this photo shoot. "I got inspired," he explains. "I want to share my love."

Mix-and-match moodness is the phrase Rich uses to describe this vintage Vivienne Westwood tee "from her punk days," shrunken vest by Swedish designer Islaet (islaet.dk) and Warhol for Levi's jeans. "I love zippers!" he exclaims.

"I wear all types of makeup---I love glitter," says Rich, who holds up a Chanel compact of translucent powder and sports MAC lipgloss in Heatherette (part of a limited-edition collaboration he did with the beauty brand). "Kabuki (kabukimagic.com) was a club kid with me; he is my favorite makeup artist."

The Chanel key chain hanging from Rich's belt loop "has a handy mirror on the other side," he points out. "I love neon."

"Can you tell I love Chanel?" asks Rich, who wears one of the French brand's iconic quilted purses around his neck.

"This hat was $5 in Japan," admits Rich. "I painted it, too."

Rich spray-painted a pair of childhood Vans for added flair. "I grew up in California wearing them," he recalls. "Now I wear them with the laces all mixed up."

"Mickey madness," declares Rich, referring to his Mickey Mouse tee from Disney World, which he ripped to create a deeper neckline. He wears it underneath a Rick Ozbek faux-fur vest and with Dots jeans. "They are very '80s to me," he reflects of his pants.

This striped railroad cap comes from Italy and was a gift from a friend, while the Ray-Ban glasses are loaners from the King Collective's Andy Wyss. "He works with me at our showroom and I borrow them for shoots," explains Rich.

Rich shows off his G-Shock watch---yet another gift from a friend. "It's black but still so colorful," says Rich.

Rich channels Hamlet with a foam skull he "found on the way out the door in my building" and customized with a whole lot of glitter.

There's only one word Rich uses to describe his Vivienne Westwood sweater and tuxedo trousers from his new line, Villionaire: "Boom!"

"My Melody watch is from a Happy Meal at McDonald's," coos Rich of his timepiece shaped like the Sanrio character. "I didn't eat there, I just wanted the watch."

Rich holds up a neon-pink skull scarf by Alexander McQueen. "He was a genius," says Rich of the late designer. He tops his look off with a Villionaire beret that he airbrushed.

"It's a military-inspired oversize jumper with a huge tiger face on the back and lots of details la Westwood," describes Rich of his unique sweater.

"Bowie in the house," announces Rich, who pairs a Jean Paul Gaultier sweater vest with a patchwork Circus of Panic jacket he made with Boy George. "He photographed me for the front image and I took his picture for the patch on the back," he says. "Good teamwork."

The designer checks his reflection in the mirror of a Rich Girl Collection compact. "It's a line my friend wants me to collaborate on," he says. "You know, I love wearing makeup."

A square-shaped David Yurman ring and custom fingerless gloves from Rich's previous collection lend a funky edge to his outfit.

Rich crushes a Christmas tree disco ball underneath his vintage Prada sandals. "It's tiny and fits perfectly in my bag," he says of the ornament. "I always carry it around." His feet are surrounded by printouts of logo samples for his new Villionaire collection.

This gold star normally hangs on Rich's deck. "Everybody is a star!" he exclaims.
