Her personal style: "I just wear whatever suits my mood that day, that moment. It could be anything from a tulle petticoat to a vintage peasant top, a sequin shift dress to sweat pants. I have a serious love for vintage clothing and antique accessories. I try to focus on every detail, from head to toe."
Her inspirations: "My mother, always has and always will be. She is effortlessly chic, and has the most individual style I've ever seen—it transcends time. She is the reason I have such an incredible love and appreciation for jewelry and vintage clothing. For as long as I can remember, she has worn a wristful of silver and turquoise cuffs and diamond rings stacked to her knuckle."
Favorite stores: "Goodwill (locations throughout the city; visit goodwill.org) and Forever 21 (locations throughout the city; visit forever21.com), because you can find serious deals. I shop with a goal: If you know what you're looking for, you can definitely find it. You can create new and interesting looks with a little determination (and a good dry cleaning). I love the shoe department at Saks Fifth Avenue (611 Fifth Ave between 49th and 50th Sts; 212-753-4000, saksfifthavenue.com), and the jewelry at Yves Saint Laurent (3 E 57th St between Fifth and Madison Aves; 212-980-2970, ysl.com) is out of control. I swear the people who work there know my name."
Her signature accessory: "I'm a creature of habit, so stacking and layering an abundance of jewelry is standard for me. I find myself wearing three to four giant Yves Saint Laurent rings—I collect them—at the same time, or multiple extra-large vintage rhinestone necklaces. I love wrists stacked with a variety of antique and modern cuffs, bangles and bracelets."
Favorite designers: "I love Sarah Hearey's (sarahhearey.com) bags and jewelry. She really focuses her attention on detailing by using nice exotic skins and interesting closures and clasps. Her designs are truly one-of-a-kind. I also like Kolae (kolae.com). They create effortless clothes. You put on their looks and feel really polished, and sexy with an edge."
How her style has evolved through the years: "My style is ever-evolving, always changing. I think that as I've gotten older I learned the ins and outs of dressing for my body: Accentuate the good while hiding the bad. After living in New York my style has gotten a lot more polished. More heels, better handbags and an overall more adult feeling to the way I dress."
