This effortlessly cool temporary store sells men's and women's laid-back yet polished clothing with a focus on denim. Swedish designer Johan Lindeberg keeps his latest collection on-trend with embellished jackets, leather details and a bit of beading. Kentia palm trees displayed throughout the large, rustic space add pops of color to an otherwise neutral decor palette. Birds can take home women's military-inspired button-up shirts ($190) and leather motorcycle jackets ($700), while blokes can snag cashmere sweaters ($350) and leather bomber jackets ($900). Don't skip the denim, such as black jeans for guys ($150) and gals ($130). 237 Lafayette St between Prince and Spring Sts (212-966-6258, blkdnm.com). Mon--Sat 11am--8pm, Sun noon--7pm. Through July 31.

Diana Warner New York
When local jewelry designer Diana Warner decided to move her studio from Chelsea to Gramercy, she thought, Why not open a storefront, too? The resulting shop features not only her line of jewelry and cufflinks, but also a colorful, boho collection of clothing, denim and accessories. The space has a girly-yet-rustic feel with a vintage Victorian sofa, a 100-year-old Mexican wood counter and parasols hanging from the ceiling. Find bright, eclectic apparel such as Tolani printed tunic-style dresses ($122--$156) and Prairie super-soft strapless maxidresses ($262). You'll also find Henry + Bell jeans ($142--$152), Magnes Sisters fringed leather shoulder bags ($286) and fashionABLE bold-hued scarves that are handmade in Ethiopia ($28--$38). But the biggest draw is Warner's jewelry, including vintage Chanel buttons turned into stud earrings ($198), hammered-metal cuff bracelets ($48), chunky cocktail rings ($84) and classy cufflinks ($66--$198). Mention TONY for 20 percent off all purchases through July 16. 42 E 21st St between Park Ave South and Broadway (212-432-3969, dianawarnerstudio.com). Mon--Sat 10:30am--7pm, Sun 1--6pm.

Nightwood
Thanks to the success of Nightwood furniture's summer 2010 pop-up shop, owners Myriah Scruggs and Nadia Yaron have opened their first permanent location. Since 2003, the women have been using found or discarded materials to create reconstructed pieces with a modern Navajo aesthetic. The space feels like an urban barn outfitted with various shades of wood to showcase items such as a coffee table made out of tea-dyed solid oak flooring ($890), a dining-room table constructed from salvaged water-tower cedar and glass ($800), and a chair covered with vintage, embroidered fabric ($900). Since everything is handmade (and much of it custom-ordered; from $800), you're guaranteed to score a one-of-a-kind piece for your pad. 111 Grand St between Wythe Ave and Berry St, Williamsburg, Brooklyn (718-596-1545, nightwoodny.com). Mon--Wed by appointment, Thu--Sun noon--7pm.

Paul Mayer Attitudes
Calling all party animals: Paul Mayer wants you to rest your aching stiletto-clad feet in his comfy flats and kitten heels. The French-born designer finds inspiration from globe-trotting to Paris, New York City and Waikiki Beach, infusing his cosmopolitan styles with the comfort that is so often lacking in fashionable footwear. Each pair features an adjustable tie (disguised as a chic little bow) to create a perfect fit. The boutique is decorated with pink walls and black chandeliers that are modeled after the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Waikiki Beach, Mayer's favorite vacation spot. Step lightly in black lacy flats ($235) or punchy two-toned patent-leather ballet styles ($220). Prowl the concrete jungle with elegant ease sporting animal-print kitten heels ($245), or slip into the label's signature quilted leather flats ($225). Mention TONY to receive 10 percent off all purchases through July 31. 1388 Third Ave between 78th and 79th Sts (212-570-5900, paulmayerattitudes.com). Mon--Fri 9am--8pm; Sat, Sun 10:30am--7pm.

Rena Reborn
Working gals on a budget and trendsetters seeking one-of-a-kind pieces will find seriously cheap garb at this secondhand women's clothing, shoes and accessories boutique. The word rena, which means "renew" in Latin, is painted on the ceiling and appropriately describes the wide selection of used and reconstructed garb, sourced by owner Rachael Rush on her frequent travels around the country as a TV producer. The cozy space Rush and co-owner Courtlan Green oversee blasts upbeat music and always has updated $5 and $10 racks to peruse. Score one-of-a-kind bargains such as a View Moda Italiana silky polka-dot-print wrap dress ($26) and a Zizi Petites striped style ($24). Your boyfriend can sink into a plush chair in the back while you explore stacks of ornate Rena Reborn jewelry, including a silver necklace with a pendant fashioned after Da Vinci's famed Vitruvian Man sketch ($15) and a gold chain with a dark-blue tooth-shaped pendant ($45). Also keep an eye out for special monthly events featuring free wine and stylist consultations with Mon Ari, a local designer and former stylist for Janet Jackson, plus 15 percent discounts on all purchases for students every Wednesday. Mention TONY for 20 percent off your first purchase through July 30. 117 E 7th St between First Ave and Ave A (212-253-2595, renareborn.com). Mon--Sat 11am--8pm, Sun noon--6pm.
