Her attire: "My Zuhair Murad ceremony dress is from Bergdorf Goodman (754 Fifth Ave at 57th St; 212-753-7300, bergdorfgoodman.com). I found it three weeks before the wedding and was ecstatic that they could make the alterations in time. I wasn't the type of girl who dreamed of her wedding or had a preconceived vision of what it was supposed to look like, so I did not have a traditional white dress in my mind when we started designing the event. I tried on white wedding dresses, but they didn't feel right on me. I kept asking for a black belt or an atypical style, or thinking I would wear a black veil—anything to drum up some interest so the ceremony was not a typical, fluffy affair. I originally purchased a short white dress that was nontraditional, but I couldn't stop thinking about a black-and-white mix. When I found this dress, I was amazed at how perfect it was for the ceremony, and I ended up wearing the short white dress for the reception. My necklace is by Erickson Beamon, and I loved it the second I saw it at Barneys (660 Madison Ave at 61st St; 212-826-8900, barneys.com)—vintage inspiration with a modern edge."
His attire: "My husband wore a bespoke tuxedo made at Lord Willy's (223 Mott St between Prince and Spring Sts; 212-680-8888, lordwillys.com). They are hip, hip people."
