His attire: "The theme for our wedding was a gothic Victorian Halloween wedding circa 1897—the year Bram Stoker's Dracula was published. So for every detail, design and decision, we asked ourselves, Would they have this in 1897? We wanted to play the part and fit in with that time period, representing a bride and groom from back then. Originally, I was going to buy a vintage or reproduction Victorian tuxedo. Upon further research, I found that tuxedos from that time period weren't much different than the tuxedos of this day and age. So to save on the budget, my groomsmen and I all rented the same mourning-coat tuxedo jacket, pants, black shirt, vest and vintage-style shoes from Dante Zeller Tuxedo & Menswear (locations throughout the city; visit dantezeller.com). I actually had a hard time finding a hat I liked, and getting a custom-made top hat was surprisingly expensive. On a whim, I went to Halloween Adventure (104 Fourth Ave at 11th St; 212-673-4546, halloweenadventurenyc.com) and found a costume hat there that fit, looked good and was very reasonably priced. It made the decision of how to wear my hair very easy."

Her attire: "Dawn's red-and-black silk dupioni bustle gown was custom-made by costume technician Cynthia Settje (cynthiasettje.com) and constructed in pieces to allow for multiple looks. The dress was originally going to be all black, but she decided to add a deep red for some color in order to stand out from our guests and bridal party. The idea of a white gown was never considered. Her Victorian riding hat from Fynehats (fynehats.com) had a long, flowing veil in the back and netting with elegant velvet flocked dots."
