The soothing music and gentle lighting inside this bi-level Flatiron spot belie the fact that it boasts as much high-tech medical equipment as many hospitals. Services such as Botox ($14 per unit), microdermabrasion ($145) and a skin-tightening treatment that combines infrared light and radio frequencies to encourage collagen growth ($275) seem to address concerns of physical appearance rather than any state of mind. But if it’s unadulterated relaxation you seek, Wellness’s massages are where you’ll find it: In addition to straightforward Swedish, shiatsu and deep-tissue options ($55–$199), choose from a yogalike, joint-mobilizing Thai version (75 minutes $135, 90 minutes $165); a deep-tissue ayurvedic chakra rubdown (75 minutes $145, 90 minutes $175); and the spa’s signature four-handed massage, in which two practitioners work their magic simultaneously on your stress-plagued muscles. Feet receive plenty of love too, with treatments ranging from circulation-stimulating Chinese reflexology ($58) to the more indulgent Cryo Green service ($55), which removes calluses with a green-tea–cucumber scrub, white-tea mask and smoothing sea-salt serum.
