We’re stoked that some of our favorite designers have created exclusive items for this ten-day pop-up, sponsored by laundry detergent brand Woolite. All proceeds benefit Save the Children (savethechildren.org), an organization that provides food, medical care and education for kids in the wake of disasters. While both locations of this indie shop will offer new fall collections alongside gratis drinks, we’ll be heading to the Greenpoint store for the opening of a weeklong pop-up shop featuring clothing ($20–$245) and accessories ($20–$145) from NYC illustrator Leah Goren (leahgoren.com). We’ve got our eyes on limited-edition cat-print tanks ($110) and tote bags ($20). On Fashion’s Night Out, Goren will be in the store hosting a DIY friendship-bracelet bar; bring your own fabric and beads, and she’ll show you how to make on-trend styles. For its latest collaboration, Target has commissioned small-business owners throughout the country to create exclusive collections for the chain. At this pop-up shop, you can score the goods three days before the merch hits stores. Fight the masses for Kirna Zabête ikat-print shirtdresses ($40) and Odin men’s bomber jackets ($70). There’s a lot to choose from inside the iconic accessories store. Jam to the beats of Z100’s DJ Reidiculous and start your night off by getting primped by the hair gurus at Frederic Fekkai. You can also grab a customized Nail Rock nail-wrap application ($25). Catch Cirque du Soleil performers primp in the store windows, mingle with customers and perform on the first floor, then grab goodies from the complimentary candy bar. You can meet designer Erin Fetherston and then cop her edgy bangs with the help of hairstylist Edward Tricomi (6–8pm); get a Minx Nails manicure with custom-made Suno designs while you chat with designers Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty; and grab a painted-on tattoo from Rihanna’s tattoo artist, Josh Lord, or a henna version with Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia. Head up to the fifth floor to spend the night with Rebecca Minkoff, and get primped with a chic ponytail, smoky eyes by Minkoff’s personal makeup artist, Anthea King, and a nail-art manicure from the ladies behind Valley Nails. We’re fans of this NYC designer’s trendy footwear and are excited for his two new ventures: an edgy shoe collaboration with popular jewelry brand Dannijo (dannijo.com) and a men’s capsule collection.
