Derian is best known for his handmade decoupage plates and platters ($48--$2,200), but there's plenty of other ephemera to please design-minded folks here. You'll find glass paperweights emblazoned with images from nature ($30), marbleized-looking printed canvas totes ($28), Moroccan leather poufs ($295) and colorful paper-and-glass candleholders handmade in Paris ($30).

This store has the same edgy feel as its big brother, avant-furniture gallery Future Perfect, but boasts much kinder price points. Some of the unconventional home accents include corked east river glass bottles ($19), realistic green-apple candles ($7), lightbulb-shaped salt and pepper shakers ($23), hand-carved wooden owl-shaped bottle openers ($25) and custom-order oversize red carnival lights ($229) that would brighten anyone's holiday party.
