Le Fooding d'Amour
French food isn't all souffl and cassoulet. Taste modern Gallic grub at this two-day event, where you can sample the handiwork of chefs from Paris (Yves Camdeborde of Le Comptoir du Relais) and New York (David Chang) side by side. Cocktails from both continents—look for tipples from Dutch Kills and Paris's Plaza Athne—will be available at an additional cost. See page 26 for more details. P.S.1, 22-25 Jackson Ave at 46th Ave, Long Island City, Queens (lefoodingdamour.com). 7pm, $30.
Savvy New Yorkers know some of the city's best meals come on wheels. Fill up on grub from all-star street vendors like Meru Sikder of the Biryani Cart at this annual awards show honoring the best in mobile eats. Judges like Jacques Torres and Pichet Ong will bestow the coveted "Vendy Cup," but your vote counts for the People's Choice award. Queens Museum of Art, Flushing Meadows--Corona Park near the Unisphere (917-861-7461, streetvendor.org). 2--7pm; advance $80, at the door $100.
