Listen now: New Wolf Parade tracks!
Mon May 3 2010
Earlier this morning, Pitchfork posted a couple of new tracks from Wolf Parade's upcoming LP EXPO 86 (a record with a truly awesome cover) and, you guessed it, they're pretty darn rad. Spencer Krug takes lead vocals on the driving, uptempo "Ghost Pressure," which rides some heavy synth grooves into the promised land which is, in this case, a busy concluding breakdown. Loud guitars mingle on "What Did My Lover Say (It Always Had to Go This Way)." For someone who holds Wolf Parade's Apologies to the Queen Mary in such high esteem (and the follow-up, At Mount Zoomer, is certainly no slouch), these tracks surfacing signifies a wonderful start to an otherwise gloomy Monday morning.
