In 1913, the very first Armory Show caused ripples in the art world by showcasing Cubist work to a baffled and hostile audience. Two panel discussions will touch on the event’s legacy, as well as how artistic practices have adapted in the digital age; from 6 to 8pm, be among the first to view the new “Decenter: An Exhibition on the Centenary of the 1913 Armory Show,” at a special opening reception. The display, on view through April 7, pulls together the work of 27 contemporary artists who utilize modern technology to express Cubist ideas. Go to decenterarmory.com for more information.
