For the 12th year in a row, this festival sets out to prove that cartoons aren’t just kid stuff. The four days of films are held at Rooftop Films and BAMCinématek and encompass various genres, styles and budgets. The event kicks off July 30 with live music and a free screening of shorts from small independent studios, foreign animators and a few selections from the heavy hitters over at DreamWorksTV and Nickelodeon.
