Atlantic Ave between Hicks St and Fourth Ave, Brooklyn. More than 500 food and craft vendors and ten stages will close down a busy Brooklyn artery for the annual Atlantic Antic. Spanning ten blocks and cutting through four neighborhoods, it's billed as NYC’s largest street fair, so there’s more to see than stands hawking pashminas and MozzArepas. Here are three things worth checking out.
Les Sans Culottes
Last Exit, 136 Atlantic Ave between Clinton and Henry Sts, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn; 1pm
Pogo like mad to this Brooklyn group’s energetic faux French pop—just one of multiple musical offerings at the fest.
20th Annual Transit Museum Bus Festival
Boerum Pl between Atlantic Ave and State St, Downtown Brooklyn; 11am–5pm
The institution displays its fleet of vintage buses just once a year at the Antic, and also offers $1 admission for the day.
Sixpoint Antic Amber
Available at bars throughout the festival.
This beer has been brewed especially for the event every year since 2006. Use it to wash down grub from Mile End, Steve’s Authentic Key Lime Pies and Red Hook Lobster Pound.
