New York Public Library for the Performing Arts celebrates the opening of new exhibit "Batsheva Dance Company at 50: American Concepts and the Israeli Spirit." Curated by Iris Lana of the Batsheva Dance Company Archive Project, the show highlights pieces by American choreographers (from Martha Graham to Jerome Robbins to Elizabeth Streb and more) that were created specially for Batsheva, to showcase both the company's inherently Israeli and global characteristics.
