Chinatown eateries go wok to wok in this culinary showdown at Openhouse Gallery on July 25 and 26. Stalwarts like dim sum icon Nom Wah Tea Parlor face off against neighborhood newbies such as Malaysian street cart Mamak and Colombian frank joint Los Perros Locos.
After an hour-long tasting—including "Flushtown" empanadas from Empies and teriyaki balls from Mimi and Coco NY—vote for your favorite vendor to win the title of Best of Chinatown. Cleanse your palate between tastings with a complimentary pint from Taiwan Beer. DJ Jreamy will man the decks, while local businesses—like Lou & Esi, known for their screenprinted tees—sell their wares.
