Let's just ignore the fact that it still hasn't really felt summery yet—heck, it's only officially summer as of today—and get really excited, because Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pop-Up Pool is coming back this year!

The swimming hole debuted last year on the park's Pier 2, and despite its size—the pool can only accommodate about 60 people at a time—more than 40,000 people took a dip. (That capacity is strictly enforced, so the pool never feels too crowded—but be prepared to wait for your spot in the water.)

The pool will reopen on June 27, along with the rest of the city's outdoor public pools—including perennial faves like Astoria Pool and the Red Hook Pool, and the still-sorta-new McCarren Park Pool. Check out our roundup of the city's best pools for a more comprehensive guide.
