Time Out says

Transport yourself to a land of fiddles and banjos with three days of performances from acts like Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Nora Brown, The Fugs, Dom Flemons, Charlie Parr, Alice Gerrard, Jake Blount, Jake Xerxes Fussell, Alynda Segarra, Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton, and David Johansen.

The festival celebrates 15 years in 2023, having grown from a small event to multiple stages inside the historic St. Ann's Church in Brooklyn Heights. Expect more than 30 bands during the weekend, along with a family-friendly square dance, jam sessions and film screenings. If you feel like jamming out yourself, take a vocal or instrumental workshop, or show your strength during the Banjo Toss contest.

"The Brooklyn Folk Festival presents the best in American and world folk music," event organizers say. "The festival is a celebration of down home music, cultural diversity and memory."

This year's even runs from November 10-12.
