"Cabinet on Trial: A Magazine of No Qualities?"

New York Public Library, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, Midtown West Wednesday January 30 2013 18:00 - 20:00
A 12-member jury—including Cabinet editor-in-chief Sina Najafi, Gawker Media founder Nick Denton and the ACLU's Ben Wizner—will interrogate the brainy, twee Brooklyn periodical to determine whether its strategy of picking a new topic for every issue makes it well-rounded or dilettantish. The event also celebrates the publication of Curiosity and Method: Ten Years of Cabinet Magazine, a collection drawing from the mag's first 40 issues.
