Reopening of Madison Square Garden

After three years and $1 billion, Madison Square Garden unveiled its top-to-bottom face-lift yesterday. The iconic venue, which stayed open during renovations, now comes equipped with improved Wi-Fi; a new multimedia scoreboard with 24 HD LED displays; new food and drink offerings; a transformed entrance on Seventh Avenue that is nearly double its previous size; and lots more. Also brand-spanking-new are the Chase Bridges, two 662-ton seating areas that hang from the ceiling from steel tube hangers. Inspired by the city's many bridges, they increase capacity by an additional 430 people.

We were on hand yesterday to scope out the revamp, and so were a few celebs, including 50 Cent, Mike D and Mark Messier. Click through the photos above and watch the video below to check it out for yourself; the Garden will get to show off its new features to the public tonight with a preseason NBA game between the Knicks and the Charlotte Bobcats at 7:30pm.
