Citi Bike definitely launching sometime this month; maybe Memorial Day weekend?
If a Crain's New York article is to be believed, the bike-share program will debut over the holiday weekend.

Now that Citi Bike docking stations have been placed all over the city—to the chagrin or delight of New Yorkers, depending on who you talk to—it's only a matter of time before the bike-sharing program actually launches. (Hooray!) And if Crain's New York is to be believed, it could be happening over Memorial Day: In a recent piece about Citi Bike, the pub claimed that an anonymous City Hall source leaked the holiday weekend as the launch date.
While we'd be thrilled if that were the case, there's no official DOT confirmation; we reached out to the agency for comment, and were simply told they haven't announced the program's debut yet. We'll keep our fingers crossed, though—and keep them crossed that another setback doesn't somehow push the whole thing back again.
