City Bakery’s Hot Chocolate Fest, or your antidote to the wintry mix
We recommend treating yourself to a mug of the bustling Chelsea joint’s molten cocoa every day this month

A steaming mug of hot chocolate might be the only thing able to console us after today's slushy, frozen-rain–pelting commute. Fortunately, City Bakery's Hot Chocolate Festival has begun, and the popular Chelsea eatery will be celebrating the decadent concoction by doling out a different flavor of their thick and creamy cocoa every day through the end of the month.
This year's lineup features City Bakery's righteously famous classic blend, plus more eclectic selections like Sunken Treasure (Feb 16), an indulgent cup with a caramel coin and a truffle waiting at the bottom. If you'd rather stick with classic winter warmers, mark your calendar for caramel (Feb 8 and 17), cinnamon (Feb 10) and bourbon (Feb 24). As per tradition—the festival is now in its 23rd year—the month will wrap witih a surprise flavor on Feb 28.
