How long have you been selling cotton candy?
Thirty years, and I see the end coming very soon. It’s a scary thing when the potential to make money is dependent on the weather.
Why do you work out of your car?
I thought that if things were slow, I’d want the option to move on to the next neighborhood as quickly as possible. I painted this Jeep pink because, you have to admit, it’s an attention grabber.
Where are you from?
I’m from Barranquilla, Colombia. I try to visit as much as I can, but everyone expects me to come bearing gifts—and that’s like buying two additional plane tickets.
