It's never too early to start thinking about fall concerts, and it looks like the organizers behind this year's CMJ Music Marathon are getting ready to rumble; they've announced the initial list of performers for October's festival, and it includes some big guns like Real Estate, Pictureplane and TEEN.
In recent years, the college-radio–aimed music festival has included the likes of the Mountain Goats, the Walkmen and Atlas Sound. According to BrooklynVegan, this year's lineup is shaping up to be a good one, with performers like spoken-word artist Saul Williams and Portland, Oregon–based rock bands Menomena and the Helio Sequence set to take the stage, too.
CMJ 2013 will hit town from October 15 through 19, and you can catch shows at venues all over the city; check out the festival's website for more details as it draws closer.
