    Micah, 26, choreographer

    Team: New York Ramblers

Who he's supporting in the World Cup: USA and Argentina

Where he's watching the World Cup: "Blondies (212 W 79th St between Amsterdam Ave and Broadway; 212-362-4360, blondiessports.com). Two words: wings, beer. But if I were to go to a gay bar to watch the games, it would be Rockbar (185 Christopher St at West St; 212-675-1864, rockbarnyc.com). They actually have TVs, not to mention the breeze from the Hudson River and the best beer on tap of any gay bar I've been to in the city."

Which soccer player he'd like to date: "Roy Keane: great player, handsome fella and he probably has an accent, which doesn't hurt."

Why he's a great catch: "I'm a big proponent of compromise and think life is too short to be negative and mopey. What he's looking for: "Hon. Es. Ty. Other stuff too, but mostly someone who isn't afraid to be honest. I would love it if they could make me laugh as well."

His team doesn't know this about him: "I have met the Dalai Lama and had lunch with him. Really. (Cue Caddyshack quotes.)"

    Savannah, 26, public relations manager

Team: New York Metropolitan Women's Soccer League, Williamsburg meet-up, Urban Soccer, other coed leagues

Who she's supporting in the World Cup: "United States and Brazil."

Where she's watching the World Cup: "At friends' apartments, bars in Brooklyn and bars near my work."

Which soccer player she'd like to date: "Cristiano Ronaldo, because he could teach me some of his moves. Plus it doesn't hurt that he's cute."

Why she's a great catch: "I'm very outgoing and love trying new things. I'm always up for an adventure and bit of fun, and I like to stay busy. Besides soccer, I love running, have recently gotten into bike riding and in the winter's to stay busy I go snowboarding. I always try to make time for hanging out with friends one-on-one and enjoy really getting to know people."

What she's looking for: "While it would be great if they played soccer, that isn't a deal-breaker. But they do at least need to enjoy watching games. Beyond soccer, I'd like someone who enjoys doing outdoor activities, such as biking, hiking, going to the beach, etc. While going out with friends for a drink is always fun, they would also be happy just staying in and watching a movie."

Her team doesn't know this about her: "I'm deathly afraid of spiders."

    Jennifer, 28, health IT manager

Team: The Ball Drillers in New York Co-ed Soccer

Who she's supporting in the World Cup: "USA, of course. If for some reason we get eliminated, then I'm rooting for Spain."

Which soccer player she'd like to date: "Iker Casillas. I used to be a goalkeeper, so I have a soft spot for them. He is a great player, but it doesn't seem like he has a big ego. Not to mention he's easy on the eyes."

Why she's a great catch: "I'm not very good at writing about myself, but here goes. I'm a down-to-earth girl who likes who like to keep things drama-free. I love to try new restaurants and travel, and I am up to try just about anything at least once. I can be kinda shy at first, but don't let that fool you---I have a sarcastic sense of humor and can be a total goofball sometimes."

What she's looking for: "I go for personality, someone who likes to laugh, has a great sense of humor and is adventurous. He should be easy-going, confident, hardworking and have a positive outlook on life."

Her team doesn't know this about her: "My team doesn't know that even though I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember, I still get nervous before every game."

Want to date Jennifer? E-mail jennifer@tonypersonals.com.

    Aaron, 27, sign language interpreter

Team: New York Ramblers and a team in the Urban Soccer League

Which football player he'd like to date: "Robert Gadocha, circa 1974, because of that gorgeous hair and mustache."

Why he's a great catch: "I'm just your typical Midwestern transplant who has fun in pretty much any situation. As long as you aren't expecting me to be appropriate, you'll probably have fun too."

What he's looking for: "Someone a little older than I am and somewhat stable. He doesn't have to laugh at my jokes, but should at least be willing to wait until I'm not looking to roll his eyes. And, okay, he should probably be pretty patient."

His team doesn't know this about him: "I've made a habit of outing them to their jobs and family. It's for their own good."

Want to date Aaron? E-mail aarona@tonypersonals.com

    Brian, 34, circulation director

    Team: New York Ramblers

Who he's supporting in the World Cup: "USA! USA! USA!"

Where he's watching the World Cup: Rockbar (185 Christopher St at West St; 212-675-1864, rockbarnyc.com). "It's close to one of the fields where we practice, so it's kind of our home bar. But it's also very much my scene: rock music, good beer, great atmosphere and hot, friendly bartenders. We can drink and talk, or drink and make fools of ourselves."

Which football player he'd like to date: "Brian McBride. He's hot, talented, aggressive and not a superstar."

Why he's a great catch: "I can act polite and well-behaved at least once every few months if offered a cookie. I like both country and hip-hop, I read books and know stuff, I like nature and art, and I'm easily amused."

What he's looking for: "The jeans-and-T-shirt, beer-and-burger kind of guy. His middle name is fun and his other middle name is Chill."

His team doesn't know this about him: "They already know way too much, and have photos, too."

Want to date Brian? E-mail briang@tonypersonals.com.

Where he's watching the World Cup: "I wish I could watch it in South Africa, but likely at a sports bar or online and hopefully with my fellow Ramblers!"

Which soccer player he'd like to date: "Cristiano Ronaldo. It's terribly trite and shallow, but he is that hot and has a lucrative contract with Real Madrid."

Why he's a great catch: "I am very laid back, I don't take myself too seriously, and I know how to have a good time and relax. On the other hand, I am very responsible and I know when it's time to get serious."

What he's looking for: "I am looking for someone who is well-balanced physically and mentally---in essence, an athletic intellectual."

His team doesn't know this about him: "I can be extremely nerdy; I sometimes read comic books and play computer games."

Want to date Jared? E-mail jared@tonypersonals.com.

    Kate, 25, fashion designer

Team: The Ball Drillers in New York Co-ed Soccer

Who she's supporting in the World Cup: "I'm not sure yet. I always want to cheer for my home team, the U.S., but sometimes we aren't the best."

Where she's watching the World Cup: "Hopefully at a lively bar with large televisions and a good group of people."

Which football player she'd like to date: "Cristiano Ronaldo from Portugal! (1) Because he's very attractive, and (2) because he's an awesome player who could teach me a lot."

Why she's a great catch: "I'm a Midwestern girl who is full of life, loves the city and is always up for an adventure. I'm also a true redhead."

What she's looking for: "A man who is sincere, adventurous, positive, down-to-earth, and stable in his life and career. He also has to have some kind of fashion sense, or at least be open to the idea of dressing nicely."

Her team doesn't know this about her: "I played with Barbies until I was 15 years old."

Want to date Kate? E-mail kated@tonypersonals.com.

    Behzad, 33, specialist for UNICEF

Team: "I play pickup in the cage at East River Park (FDR Dr at E 6th St, nycgovparks.org)."

Who he's supporting in the World Cup: "My allegiance in international soccer is as follows: (1) Iran, (2) USA, (3) Burkina Faso, (4) England. Iran did not qualify this year and Burkina never has, so it's the USA followed by England."

Where he's watching the World Cup: "I have an elaborate plan to watch as many matches as possible in the ethnic communities of the teams playing, e.g. Ivory Coast in Harlem, K-town for the Koreas, Bushwick for Mexico, etc."

Which football player he'd like to date: "Marta, because of her goal against the USA in the women's 2007 World Cup in China."

Why he's a great catch: "During the day I save babies, and at night I score mad goals and ride mad bikes."

What he's looking for: "A woman who understands that an assist is more beautiful than a goal."

His team doesn't know this about him: "I'm moving abroad soon"

Want to date Behzad? E-mail behzad@tonypersonals.com.

Matthew, 28; artist agent, freelance illustrator, fine artist and amateur costume designer

Team: New York Ramblers, Central Park Rangers and New York Co-ed Soccer

Who he's supporting in the World Cup: "The USA, as best I can."

Where he's watching the World Cup: "Mostly bars and people's homes."

Which soccer player he'd like to date: "Toni Kroos (Germany). There's something about the way he plays---the energy and his commitment---it's very attractive."

Why he's a great catch: "I'm creative and athletic (an art nerd mixed with a healthy jock), without being full of myself in either capacity. I like to be focused and work hard at what I do, but I am also eager for the weekends---my bike, some good food and friends."

What he's looking for: "Sexy, stable and sane, with equal parts ambition, activity, understanding and an open mind. Enjoying life is a big part of it, and a sense of humor. Creative types that take care of themselves, but don't take it too seriously. Athletic is nice, but taking care of yourself is what really matters. Outdoorsy is also a plus. Someone who likes to cook, eat, travel and relax. This can go on and on...."

His team doesn't know this about him: "I have a huge comic-book collection and I watch the NFL religiously come fall."

Want to date Matthew? E-mail matthewl@tonypersonals.com

    Megan, 24, advertising manager

    Team: New York Ramblers

Who she's supporting in the World Cup: "USA, baby!"

Where she's watching the World Cup: "Anywhere with crazy fans and a good Malibu Bay Breeze."

Why she's a great catch: "There is never a dull moment. I'm spontaneous, independent and always in search of a good time. My top picks are exploring the city, chilling in the park and hitting the dance floor."

What she's looking for: "Looking for someone that isn't all about a routine. I value people with spontaneity, a witty sense of humor and a passionate side."

Her team doesn't know about her: "Although I love playing soccer (especially with the Ramblers), it actually isn't my favorite sport. Softball and rugby are up top for first place."

Want to date Megan? E-mail meganl@tonypersonals.com.

    Jake, 24, management/strategy consultant

Team: NYC World Cup Tournament, corporate team the Smooth OPERAtors

Who he's supporting in the World Cup: "I'm torn between Djibouti and Luxembourg. Just kidding. USA, obviously."

Where he's watching the World Cup: "I only know for a fact where I'll be watching the first match, USA vs. England, and that'll be in London. I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous, and I'll do my best to force myself to be reserved in my support for the Stars and Stripes---though it'll be tough to restrain myself after the win. After that, I'm not sure, as I'll be all over Europe this summer for work."

Which soccer player he'd like to date: "Ah, so many answers come to mind. First I think of a select few ladies from my high school and college. Heather Mitts is always a front-runner, but I think I'd go with the entire Brazilian team. Also Mia Hamm was a childhood crush. Hmmm, that hair-pulling player from New Mexico seems like she'd be a blast too! Hopefully they all subscribe to TONY. (Call me!)"

Why he's a great catch: "I'm really not, as I have very few (if any) redeeming qualities, but I guess I can try to make something up. I'll take you to McDonald's, like, whenever you want (Sizzler or Red Lobster if it's your birthday). I'll...I'm...uh...I guess that's about it. Though this is difficult to do without coming across as vain, arrogant and self-centered, I would say that I am genuinely a nice guy, I can put a smile on someone's face every once in a while, and, hey, at least I'm not Sloth from The Goonies (apologies to any Sloth family members or supporters)."

What he's looking for: "Drop-dead looks. Yep---that's about it. Just kidding. I don't really look for anything in specific, but I generally appreciate when someone likes to laugh, smile, have a good time and can carry a conversation. I always appreciate a little sass and spunk, too."

His teams doesn't know this about him: "There is a lot my teams don't know about me, but I guess something most people don't know is that I was in a movie when I was like 13. I wasn't good. I also really like breakfast food. I don't suppose they'd know that, either."

Want to date Jake? E-mail jakeg@tonypersonals.com.

    Derrick, 28, booking agent

    Team: New York Ramblers

Who he's supporting in the World Cup: "My roommate says we're supporting the good old US of A. He knows way more about the game than I do so I defer to him."

Where he's watching the World Cup: "We'll probably invite some friends over, fire up the grill and have a little fiesta right at home."

Which soccer player he'd like to date: "Too many to list... You did say in a fantasy world, right?"

Why he's a great catch: "I like to fancy myself a well-humored, well-educated, well-meaning, well-rounded individual who plays well with others. I try to remain politically and culturally aware. Does The Real Housewives of Atlanta qualify as culture? I mean, if we can call Sarah Palin 'politics'... And as a recovering college a cappella group member, I do some pretty mean karaoke. What more could you ask for?!?"

What he's looking for: "Beyond the obvious necessity of physical attraction, having compatible senses of humor is key. Sorry to sound all sappy, but being able to laugh together is one thing that will never get old. Oh, and you should own a TV. I'm always suspicious of those who do not."

His team doesn't know this about him: "As one of the rookies on the team, the list is still pretty long. Umm, hey guys... I'm gay."

Want to date Derrick? E-mail derrick@tonypersonals.com.

    Jordan, 29, campus recruiting assistant

    Team: New York Ramblers

Who he's supporting in the World Cup: "Due to blood obligations, Greece."

Where he's watching the World Cup: "From the gutter next to the bar I've been thrown out of."

Which soccer player he'd like to date: "Cristiano Ronaldo, duh! According to the Interwebs, he's the hottest, and to be honest, he looks a little 'hey, gurl!' "

Why he's a great catch: "I'm very low maintenance with good sense of humor. I'm a terrible speller (I'll make you feel smart), I love my family, I'm great at double Dutch and I will always find a way to have a good time."

What he's looking for: "Someone who's mellow, funny, loves cartoons and will get in trouble with me."

His team doesn't know this about him: "I'm a huge That's So Raven fan."

Want to date Jordan? E-mail jordan@tonypersonals.com.

    Ken, 32, attorney

    Team: New York Ramblers

Who he's supporting in the World Cup: "USA and Spain. My father is from Spain, so it's supporting my heritage."

Where he's watching the World Cup: "In New York, Spain and Colorado. Anywhere there's a TV, really. In NYC I'll probably be at Boxers (37 W 20th St between Fifth and Sixth Aves; 212-255-5082, boxersnyc.com)"

Which soccer player he'd like to date: "Landon Donovan from the U.S. team. He has that athletic all-American look. He's all business on the soccer pitch, but seems pretty laid-back otherwise."

Why he's a great catch: "I'm not really interested in the usual dating games. I love meeting new people and spending time getting to know them. Bottom line, I'm a decent guy that would like to meet the same."

What he's looking for: "I'm after a companion: I have a great family and group of friends that I'd like to share with someone. I'd like my partner to be driven in whatever he does in life, to be caring and to challenge me on different levels. Of course there's the standard "cute," too."

His team doesn't know this about him: "I still have an extensive collection of He-Man toys from my days as a little kid in the '80s."
