Indulge in the cronut craze with a clear conscience, thanks to Dominique Ansel's charitable new endeavor. The pastry wunderkind has teamed up with hunger-relief nonprofit Food Bank for NYC to raise money until this Friday, August 2.
It's called the Cronut Project and here's how it works: Every day this week, you can donate $5 or more to the Food Bank to be entered to win a special-edition passion-fruit cronut. Two daily winners will be selected for a home delivery of the freshly baked croissant-donut hybrid; one will go to the highest donor, and the other to a randomly selected contributor. Let the donating begin!
