Big news today from the folks over at Smorgasburg: The popular open-air market is leaving Dumbo's Tobacco Warehouse—where it has set up shop on Sundays for the past year—for Pier 5 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. As part of new expansion plans for the Empire–Fulton Ferry section of the park, St. Ann's Warehouse will convert the warehouse to a theater, and so Smorg will pack up and move this Sunday, October 6. The larger location will rival the weekly Williamsburg fest's for size. (And yes, here will be ramen burgers.) Additionally, the Flea's annual holiday market is vacating its space at Skylight One Hanson: From November 30 through March 2014, the Flea will take place in Williamsburg at 85 Wythe Street.
But that's not all—remember when we told you that the Brooklyn Flea will open yet another location in Park Slope? The new outpost's sole food vendor has been selected: Roberto Santibañez from the neighborhood's south-of-the-border eatery Fonda will dish out tortas and Mexican sodas outside P.S. 321.
