Beer mug workshop
One Sixty Glass, 160 Berry St between North 4th and 5th Sts, Williamsburg, Brooklyn (718-486-9620, onesixtyglass.com). Subway: L to Bedford Ave. Fri 14 6:30–9:30pm; Sat 15 11am–6pm. $80 (materials included).
Anyone can get drunk on St. Patrick’s Day, but if you swing by One Sixty Glass the weekend prior, you can actually make your own mug. Then, on Monday 17, you can put your one-of-a-kind vessel to good use enjoying beer specials around the corner at Zablozki’s bar.

The Chieftains
Carnegie Hall, 154 W 57th St between Sixth and Seventh Aves (212-247-7800, carnegiehall.org). Subway: F, V, N, Q, R, W to 57th St. Mon 17 at 8pm; $30–$85.
The Irish know from tradition—visitors kiss the Blarney Stone, Guinness is served cold, and the Chieftains, who have been around in one form or another since 1962, play Carnegie Hall on St. Pat’s Day.

Hunt for the Leprechaun’s Gold
Ravenchase Adventures, register for details (ravenchase.com). Sat 15 at 1pm; $35.
On this holiday scavenger hunt, treasure seekers race around Manhattan deciphering clues in search of the little bugger’s booty. Prizes are given to the top three teams, but everybody is rewarded with a healthy quaff of brew.

Ladies & Gents
Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, meet at Cetral Park West and W 72nd St (212-868-4444, irishartscenter.org) . Subway: B, C to 72nd St. Mon 17–Mar 29 at 7, 8, 9pm; $25.
Thanks to Larry Craig, America is well-versed in public-toilet dramas. But, Paul Walker’s thriller set in 1950s Dublin really raises the bar (or maybe lowers the plunger). Staged in the Bethesda Fountain restrooms, the two-acter is a visceral tale of revenge gone too far.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
FREE Fifth Ave from 44th St to 86th St (saintpatricksdayparade.com). Subway: 42nd St S, 4, 5, 6, 7 to 42nd St–Grand Central. Mon 17 at 11am.
Grand marshal Tommy Smyth, ESPN’s go-to soccer commentator, kicks off the world’s largest St. Pat’s procession as it rolls up midtown’s Green Line, followed by more than a 100,000 musicians, benevolent societies, fraternal orders, dancers and bigwigs.

South Street Seaport Irish Stroll
Pier 17 at Fulton and South Sts (800-422-7295, lindypromo.com). Subway: A, C to Broadway–Nassau St; J, 2, 3, 4, 5 to Fulton St. Sat 15 1–9pm; $15. 21+ only.
Thousands will mull around South Street Seaport enjoying bagpipers, beer, party favors, food and live music from the Mix. But if all that merriment makes you feel guilty, bring two cans of food—a donation to City Harvest knocks $5 off admission.
