Feeling blue about not being on the guest list for any New York Fashion Week events? (You weren't thinking of sneaking in, were you?) Instead, we suggest you check out another haute event where there's no list or lines. Did we mention it's free?

Be the first one in your coffee klatch to make it to “Shoe Obsession” at the Museum at FIT. It was one of the three hot fashion exhibits we raved about in our 2013 preview, and the collection of spikes and stilettos doesn't disappoint. With how messy weather is out there, you'll be better off ogling the arty shoes than trying to hail a cab in the damn things, anyway.
