In 2012 the Museum of the Moving Image inaugurated its First Look film festival, spotlighting inventive and groundbreaking international cinema. The showcase returns this year with 26 features and shorts from countries such as Portugal, Argentina, Russia and Thailand. Offerings include James Benning’s reimagining of the 1969 film Easy Rider (Jan 6 at 5pm, includes an appearance from Benning), in which every location from the original movie is revisited.
