Last month, we checked in with Sunny’s co-owner Tone Johansen about the status of that iconic watering hole, which is still closed due to damage sustained during Hurricane Sandy. (Click through photos of the initial cleanup effort in the slide show above.)

Well, even after a fund-raising bash at The Bell House and an Indiegogo campaign that raised more than $20,000, the bar is still in need of cash ($30,000, to be exact) to complete its basement restoration. And luckily, you can still help. Williamsburg’s New York Distilling Co. is hosting a tunes- and booze-fueled shindig dubbed Sunny’s Rescue Party next Tuesday, June 25, from 6 to 9pm, in which mixologist Dale DeGroff, NYDC’s own Allen Katz and other notable bartenders will be serving up tasty cocktails.

Tix to the event are $50, and all proceeds go to fixing up Sunny’s. Find all details (as well as a Paypal link if you can't make it) on the event’s site.
