Get free ice cream all month from the Ben & Jerry's truck
The ice cream maker is also making a city-specific flavor for us.

Screaming for ice cream is a thing of the past. Now you can tweet for ice cream as part of Ben & Jerry's newest campaign: The frozen-treats chain is crowd-sourcing to create specific flavors for a handful of U.S. cities, including NYC. The varieties will be determined by online voting, as well as interactive factors. For instance, B&J's set up turnstiles on the Williamsburg waterfront that allowed passersby to decide between coffee or chocolate. Ingredients from local purveyors such as Sixpoint Brewery are also in the mix. (Beer-flavored ice cream? Twist our arm.)
The ice cream maker will be handing out free scoops from tomorrow until August 2 with its roving truck. If you want to become the most popular person in your office, tweet @BenJerrysTruck with the hashtag #OMGFreeBenJerrys, and the indulgence-mobile might come to you!
How will all the ingredients come together—as an enticing melting pot (like a great city we know) or as a discordant hodgepodge? Find out by trying the resulting flavor on July 27 as part of the philanthropic company's Community Day. And be sure to submit flavor names via Twitter (extra points for great/terrible puns, like D.C.'s "Capitol Chill"). Head to the City Churned website for more info.
