Every year during Open House New York, you're allowed—nay, encouraged—to indulge your voyeuristic tendencies and get a peek at cool NYC sites that are normally off-limits. The event happens October 11 and 12, but reservations for many exclusive tours open on Wednesday 2 at 11am—and they will disappear fast. Here are some of the events you shouldn't miss:

Citi Bike warehouse tour
See the Brooklyn storage space for the popular—and controversial—ride-sharing program. The fleet of bulky blue two-wheelers has logged more than 7 million miles since debuting in May.

4 World Trade Center

Go behind the scenes at this Fumihiko Maki structure, slated for completion later this year. It will be one of the first buildings in the new WTC complex to be occupied.

Tours of private residences
OHNY teams with Interior Design magazine to showcase 20 homes planned by notable architects. (Now you don't have to feel creepy about peering into bedrooms and kitchen cabinets.)

"Walking the Internet"
You can see where your cat photos are housed—sort of—as author Andrew Blum (Tubes: A Journey to the Center of the Internet) leads a stroll through a lower-Manhattan building that contains some of the Web's infrastructure.

Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass
You've eyed Tiffany stained-glass goods (like lamp shades) in restaurants and museums; now you can view the Long Island City warehouse where the company's materials are stored.

For even more events browse our slide show below. For details on how to make reservations, visit Open House New York's website beginning this Wednesday, October 2 at 11am.
