Governors Ball announces insanely good lineup

Wowza. We’ve been fans of local music fest Governors Ball since its first go-round in 2011, but this year’s onslaught of acts (announced earlier today) is a big step up. Besides the notable names mentioned above, here are some other acts you can look forward to catching on Randalls Island this summer: Grizzly Bear, Kendrick Lamar, Japandroids, Beirut, Feist, Beach House, Bloc Party, Fucked Up, Azealia Banks, the Avett Brothers, Cut Copy, Best Coast, Dinosaur Jr. and Crystal Castles. There’s also a yet-to-be-announced third headliner. To repeat: Wowza. The fest goes down on June 7, 8 and 9. And early-bird three-day passes ($190) go on sale this Friday at noon.
